My mother sang the ‘red flag’ as I was being born and my Grandma spits when she hears the name ‘Winston Churchill’

Education is at the heart of my work whether this be a process of educating, being educated or challenging accepted forms of education
I am currently making works which are developed around notions of utopian ideas about revolution and freedom; Processes of solidarity and infiltration in order to overthrow a system from within for the greater good. I am referring not to the current situations of violence and terrorism but to the peace campers at Faslane and the organised left, to those who work within a system which contains them with the belief that they can bring about change.
My work also takes on the form of two collectives ‘Unmotivated (or I am exactly what I dislike about the world at the moment)’ which uses a more individualistic approach to notions of protest and the ‘Lambeth Band of Solidarity’ a group of people who find ways to explore the practice of solidarity in Lambeth and the world beyond.
